Q: What is Fluffy GRL Movement and why did you start it?
A: Fluffy GRL Movement is a liberation brand. We curate experiences and community that centers the stories, challenges, triumphs and WHOLISTIC wellness of women navigating the world in plus sized and curvy bodies. While we center Fluff GRLs, our community is inclusive to what we lovingly call Fluffettes (curvy GRLs), Fluff Supporters (allies) and Fellas for Fluff (men). TOGETHER we dismantle societal bullshit by DARING to live, love, laugh, grow and glow out loud. We pride ourselves on having candid conversations that evoke curiosity, challenge bias and remove stigmas. With Fluffy GRL Movement, we empower women to be the best version of themselves through self awareness and resources.

Q: Why is it important to build a community with your Fluffy GRL audience?
A: It’s important to build a community with our audience because at the end of the day we ALL have an internal desire to be seen, heard and felt. It’s so much easier to make changes in yourself and in your life when you know that you’re not alone. Belonging goes beyond Wednesday at the lunch table (Mean Girls reference…lol). As GROWN ASS WOMEN, it’s still important to know that someone else understands us and our journeys without judgment.
Q: LOVE THIS, EBBI!! So I know you’ve got a big event coming up called GRL Weekend! Can you tell us about it and who is the event made for?
A: GRL Weekend is the largest event for Fluffy GRL Movement. It is the ultimate destination for women to gather, celebrate and elevate what it means to be their best selves. GRL Weekend is curated especially for women and women identifying people for ages 21+. Men can join the fun by becoming a sponsor either for the event OR by sponsoring a woman to join the fun.

Q: It’s great to curate something specifically for women to show up as themselves in these spaces and be celebrated for who they are. What are the takeaways you want to see girls take away from GRLs weekend?
A: I want the all the GRLs to feel empowered to be their dope selves. We come in different forms and from different backgrounds. At GRL Weekend we embrace ALL that uniqueness AND still challenge you to meet someone NOT like you. We DARE you to find the commonalities and revel in them…if only for a weekend…OR a few.
