Girl Louie is partnering with STL Mutual Aid to demonstrate the impact and vision of mutual aid through data analysis, artistic expression, and creative storytelling. The purpose of the campaign is to show what systems change can look like on a large scale if we embrace the art of teaching and sharing our knowledge and skills with each other.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

An important role of the creative marketing team at Girl Louie, the Creative Storytelling Coordinator will produce and distribute creative, timely content on behalf of Girl Louie’s client, STL Mutual Aid, in an effort to uphold the organization’s primary pillars of health care, education, and housing accessibility.

Role responsibilities: 15-20 hours/week

  • Photography, Videography, Graphic Design and/or Creative Content Creation (4-5 hrs/week)
    • Photograph & create videos for impact stories captured from mutual aid impact
    • Creative graphic design images, pull quotes, and other forms of storytelling graphics in Canva and/or in Adobe programs
    • Assist with the creation print & digital assets that can be shared through social media and the newsletter – in partnership with the STL Mutual Aid External Communications Coordinator
  • Storytelling Strategy & Assistance (4-5 hrs/week)
    • Coordinate with the Girl Louie on strategy and assistance with creative storytelling ideas that highlight the impact of mutual aid
    • Develop strategy interview questions, creative content ideas, and overall outward facing communications for each story that is highlighted
  • Attend bi-weekly Coordinator check-ins (1-2 hrs/week)
  • Data Tracking & Analytics (1-2 hrs/week)
    • Work with the Girl Louie team to set up data tracking and analytics of the storytelling project. (encompassing, but not limited to: google analytics, social media stats, youtube stats, email newsletter stats, event attendance, etc)
  • Assist in External & Internal Communications (1-2 hrs/week)
    • Work with the STL Mutual Aid staff to assist in the communications and data reporting of the storytelling projects.

  • Consistent in their presence and communication
  • Organized and have excellent time management skills
  • Creative and passionate about developing new content through interviews, art, stories, and more
  • Proficient in Canva, Photography, Videography, Adobe Programs, Squarespace, Mailchimp and google workspace (google calendar, googlegroups, forms, drive, sheets) 
  • Comfortable with creating and posting content on facebook and instagram
  • Excited about collaborating with other artists, storytellers, and organizers our work

 

Compensation:
This role would be a six-month, 1099 Independent Contractor position compensated at a rate of $25 / hr up to $1500 / month. This position is expected to be a 2-year commitment with room to move to full-time if applicable.
